You become familiar with the Finnish service system for child protection and legislation.
You identify different life situations of children and families and are able to assess the need for child protection.
You know the principles of child's best interest.
You identify the stages of the child protection process.
You become familiar with the ethical principles, work orientations and methods of working with children, young people and families.

Study forms and methods
Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä
Opintojakson suorittaminen edellyttää osallistumista kontaktiopetukseen ryhmän lukujärjestyksen mukaisesti.
Opintojaksoon kuuluu neljä oppimistehtävää sekä työelämävierailijoita ja -vierailu sekä kokemusasiantuntijan puheenvuoro.
Näyttösuoritus: työelämäkokemusta vähintään kaksi vuotta.

Timing of exams and assignments
Opintojaksolla on neljä eri tyyppistä oppimistehtävää.
Oppimistehtävissä on yksilö- ja ryhmätehtäviä.
