Objective
You identify the possibilities of wellbeing technologies and are able to evaluate the suitability of technological solutions in rehabilitation services.
You are able to develop and bring into use operating models which utilize wellbeing technologies, and accordingly identify need for support.
You are familiar with the requirements affecting the authorities and standards related to wellbeing technologies and you are able to take into account ethical and legal principles in the application of wellbeing technologies.
You are able to innovate user-driven technological solutions for the needs of rehabilitation and utilize technological solutions in multi-professional communication and networks.
Content
Which wellbeing technology solutions (e.g. robotics, mobile and gaming applications, meters) have been applied and evaluated in the rehabilitation and wellbeing services?
How do you promote the implementation of an operating model that utilizes wellbeing technologies? (e.g. the need for support)
What are the regulatory requirements and standards and ethical and legal principles related to wellbeing technologies?
How do you innovate new customer-oriented rehabilitation technologies?
How can technology be utilizeed in telerehabilitation and multidisciplinary networking and communication?
Course material
Learning materials for independent study on the Learn eLearning environment. Studying the subjects also requires an active, independent search for information.
Study forms and methods
In the course, expert lectures and small group work are used as teaching methods. The implementation of the course is presented more specifically in the Learn eLearning environment.
RDI and work-related cooperation
The course may include some aspects of working life cooperation, e.g. R&D expert lecture.
Timing of exams and assignments
The course includes written learning tasks made by a small group. Deadlines are indicated in the course instructions.
Learning tasks will be presented in a seminar.
