Supporting the functions of pulmonary and cardiovascular systems (5 cr)

Objective

You are familiar with the criteria of the pathophysiology and pharmacology of the cardiologic, respiratory and circulatory system and diseases.
You can describe the effects of functional disorders and diseases of the cardiologic, respiratory and circulatory system and their effects on individuals' movement and functional ability.
You are familiar with the rehabilitation mechanisms and their effects on cardiologic, respiratory and circulatory physiotherapy.
You can use appropriate functional and load level measurements to evaluate the need for physiotherapy.
You know and can identify the risk factors for cardiovascular and respiratory physiotherapy.
You can use and justify the main impacts of cardiologic and respiratory physiotherapy taking into account individuals' resources and the environmental challenges.
You know psychophysical physiotherapy methods to support individual resources.

How do you take into account the pathophysiology of the respiratory and circulatory system in physiotherapy?
How do you recognize the individual factors behind respiratory and cardiovascular diseases?
How do you use medical and pharmacological knowledge in physiotherapy?
How do you justify and apply physiotherapeutic methods to promote clients' comprehensive functional capacity in their own environment?
How do you plan, implement and justify progressive and evidence-based physiotherapy in interaction with clients that suits them each?
How do you assess clients functioning, participation and coping in everyday life as well as the clients' individual resources and changes in them?

Opiskelumateriaali julkaistaan Learn-ympäristössä opintojakson alkaessa.

Opiskelu vaatii myös itsenäistä tiedonhankintaa.

Study forms and methods

Toteutus, 5 op sisältää aikataulutettua lähiopetusta kampuksella ja lisäksi aikaan sitomatonta/aikaan sidottua itsenäistä työskentelyä verkkoympäristössä.

Opintojakso sisältää 1 pienryhmätehtävän sekä 2 kokoavaa lopputenttiä.

Opintojaksolla hyödynnetään erilaisia palautteenantotapoja. Niitä ovat opettajan antama suullinen ja kirjallinen palaute, vertaispalaute sekä automaattinen palaute hyväksytysti/hylätysti suoritetuista tenteistä.

Timing of exams and assignments

Opintojakson hyväksytty suorittaminen edellyttää opintojaksoon kuuluvien oppimistehtävien ja kansainvälisyystehtävän sekä tenttien hyväksyttyä suorittamista. Oppimistehtävät arvioidaan hyväksytty / täydennettävä. Tentit arvioidaan asteikolla T1 - K5.

Hyväksytty suoritus edellyttää osallistumista lähiopetukseen.
Lähitunteja 30h. Opetus sisältää luennot, ryhmätehtävät ja käytännön harjoitukset. Itsenäistä opiskelua, oppimistehtävien tekemistä, tenttiin valmistautumista 100 tuntia.
Psykofyysisen fysioterapian osio (1op) arvioidaan Fysioterapian menetelmien harjoittelu III: n yhteydessä ryhmätehtävällä ja ohjauksella: hyväksytty- täydennettävä

Psykofyysisen fysioterapian opintojakson arviointi sisältyy Fysioterapian menetelmien III opintojakson rentousmenetelmien ryhmäohjauksen suunnitelman ja toteutuksen arviointiin
