Objective
You are familiar with the criteria of the pathophysiology and pharmacology of the central and peripheral nervous system disorders and diseases.
You can describe the effects of functional disorders and diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system and their effects on individuals' movement and functional ability.
You are familiar with the rehabilitation mechanisms and their effects on neurological physiotherapy.
You can use appropriate functional measurements to evaluate the need for physiotherapy.
You can use and justify the main impacts of neurological physiotherapy taking individuals' resources and the environmental challenges into account.
Content
How do you take into account the effects of central and peripheral nervous system disorders and illnesses on persons' functioning and on their possibilities of rehabilitation?
How do you use medical and pharmacological knowledge to support neurological physiotherapy?
How do you assess clients’ functional capacity and participation, and coping in their everyday life and changes in their mental resources?
How do you assess the need for assistive devices and how do you control their use?
How do you use evidence-based methods of physiotherapy to support functional capacity?
How do you identify risk factors in patient safety?
How do you promote human functioning in neurological physiotherapy with assistive devices and technological solutions?
Course material
Learning materials for independent study on the Learn eLearning environment. Studying the subjects also requires an active, independent search for information.
