Objective

You know the fundamental functions and structures of the cardiovascular, circulatory, and respiratory systems from the perspective of a physiotherapist.
You know the basics of muscle function.
You know and understand the neural regulation of the body as the foundation of human function.
You know and understand hormonal activity in regulating body balance.
You know and understand pain mechanisms and their impact on the client's pain experience.
You know and understand the key biomechanical factors of human activity and movement.
You can describe how the human organ systems function during movement and physical exertion.

Content

From the perspective of a physiotherapist, what are the fundamental functions and structures of the cardiovascular, circulatory and respiratory systems?
How does the muscular system work?
What does neural regulation of the body mean?
How does neural regulation of the body work?
What does hormonal regulation of the body mean?
How does hormonal regulation of the body work and affect bodily functions?
What are pain mechanisms?
How do pain mechanisms affect a client's pain experience?
What are biomechanical factors and how do they affect human function and movement?
How do the body's organ systems work during movement and physical exertion?
