Objective

You are able to analyse entrepreneurship and assess its importance from the perspectives of society, the environment, the organisation and the individual.

You can describe the forms of entrepreneurship and the ways of becoming an entrepreneur and compare the suitability of company forms in different situations.

You are able to describe the business context, stakeholders and business networks.

You can identify business opportunities.

Content

What is the importance of entrepreneurship for society, the business, its environment and the individual?

What are the different forms of entrepreneurship, and what opportunities do they offer?

What factors influence the choice of company form?

What is a business model?

What are the key stakeholders and business networks of a company?

How to identify and assess new and international business opportunities in a responsible way?

Course material

The study material will be published in the Learn environment at the start of the course.

Study forms and methods

The course is conducted entirely as asynchronous online teaching.
Studies take place in the Learn environment. Access to the course platform opens on the start date of the course.
The studies are structured around independent or group learning tasks and online exams.
Various feedback methods are utilized in the course. These can include written and oral feedback. Additionally, peer feedback can also be used.
The course consists of four sections.

RDI and work-related cooperation

The applied learning tasks are work-life oriented.
Practical business collaboration, for example, through guest speakers and participation in events.

Timing of exams and assignments

The course ends at the time specified in the implementation details, by which all learning tasks, exams, and other course-related assignments must be completed.

International cooperation

International collaboration is planned according to the available openings within the international network.

Student workload

1 ECTS credit corresponds to approximately 27 hours of student work.
However, the workload depends on the student’s study skills and prior knowledge.

For a 5 ECTS credit course, the student’s workload is approximately 135 hours.

The significance of entrepreneurship in society and operating as an entrepreneur
Starting a business
Organizing and resourcing business operations
Responsible business and internationalization opportunities

Assessment methods and criteria

Assessment is based on the learning objectives and assessment criteria of the course. Completion of the course includes the successful completion of all learning tasks.
