Objective
You are familiar with the theoretical background, concepts, definitions and essential types of media education.
You have an understanding of the outcomes of media education and a vision of implementing them.
You can critically assess your own relation to the media and have means to develop your skills in media literacy.
You are familiar with the (social) media production equipment available.
You are able to create a small media production.
Content
What are the theoretical basis, outcomes and concepts of media education (media, media education, media literacy, media culture)?
What are a person’s media relationship and the impacts of media like?
What are the methods of media education: analysis and interpretation of media texts and media production?
What kinds of media production equipment are there in the field of social media?
What are the principles of media production?

Study forms and methods
Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä:
Opintojakson ihannemitoitus on yhdeksän viikkoa, ja opiskelija voi sovittaa opinnot työviikkoonsa sopiviksi katsomiinsa ajankohtiin.
Työhön integroitu oppimisväylä:
Kokonaan itsenäisesti verkossa opiskeltavana opintojaksona opiskelija voi aikatauluttaa työskentelynsä haluamallaan tavalla ja suorittaa opintojakson yhdeksän viikon ihannemitoitusta nopeammin.

Opiskelijan työmäärä on 135 tuntia.
