You know how to use Xamk`s own systems and the most common digital tools in your studies and professional life.
You will be able to create most common documents, presentations and tables.
You know how to work with information security mindset.

Which Xamk`s systems do you need during your studies?
Which information and communication technology applications you need in your studies and professional life?
How to create most common documents with word processing, presentations graphics and spreadsheets?
What is meant by information security and how to work with information security mindset in your studies and professional life?
Course material
Study materials are provided by the teacher via the Learn platform.
Study forms and methods
The course is carried out entirely by way of unscheduled online study.
Studies are carried out on the Learn and M365 platforms. Access to the Learn platform opens on the starting day of the course.
Progress is made by completing assignments and other tasks. The assignments must be submitted by the end of the course.
The assessed assignments are completed individually. You can however work in pairs or in small teams.

Timing of exams and assignments
The end date of the course is presented in the course details. By this date, the student must submit all the assignments and meet all other conditions set for an approved course completion.
There is no exam in this course.

Student workload
1 ECTS credits equals 27 hours of work by the student.
In a 3-credit course, the student's total maximum workload is approximately 81 hours including independent study.
Further information
In addition to a computer with internet access you need a microphone and a web camera.
It is advised to install the desktop versions of M365 office products. You are given instructions for that on the Learn platform.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed
Sufficient competence in the student's digital skills. The criteria for an approved performance are detailed described in the digital environment of the implementation of the course.
Assessment methods and criteria
The student’s performance is assessed with reference to the learning objectives and assessment criteria of the course.
The course completion requires that all the assignments are completed according to the instructions, the assignments are submitted for grading before end of the course, and assignments are assessed with a passing grade.
