Objective
You can communicate in simple everyday situations at A1.1 European language level and are able to apply vocabulary and structures needed in those situations.
You know the basics of Spanish pronunciation and writing.
You show your interest in the Spanish customs and culture.
You are able to use different tools for learning language
Content
What kind of vocabulary do you need in everyday communication situations?
What are the Spanish (el castellano) phonology and ortography like?
How do you use basic structures in everyday communication situations?
Course material
The study material created for the Kivako->Kivanet project will be published in the Learn environment at the start of the course.
Study forms and methods
• The course is carried out entirely by way of unscheduled online study. / The course is mainly carried out by way of unscheduled online study but it also has 5 scheduled online lessons. The scheduled online lessons entail work in groups / addnrequire active participation. Participation in scheduled online lessons is mandatory.
• Studies are carried out on the Learn platform. Access to the platform opens on the starting day of the course. As a rule, scheduled online lessons are carried out .... In addition to having an internet connection, the students must also have a video and audio connection during online lessons.
• The assessed assignments are completed individually. The assignments must be submitted by the given deadlines.
• Feedback is provided by different methods, in writing and/or orally. Also, peer feedback can be used.
RDI and work-related cooperation
The course involves practicing customer service situations.
Timing of exams and assignments
The end date of the course is presented in the course details. By this date, the student must submit all assignments, take the required exams and meet all other conditions set for an approved course completion.

• 1 ECTS credits equals 27 hours of work by the student ->3 ETS-> 81 hours

Lessons via Zoom.
The course consists of three modules, where grammar, vocabulary, situations, pronunciation, and culture are practiced.
In grammar:
Gender and number of nouns + articles, prepositions, numbers 0-100, I, II, III conjugations, irregular verbs: estar*, tener*, ir*, near future tense, etc.
Situational exercises:
hotel, how to give instruction, vehicules, conference
Note: The course is aimed at beginners. If you have previous knowledge of the language, you can join other Kivanet courses.
