You are able to use tools that support your English studies and improve your language learning skills.
Content
What are the key structures of English that you need in your work?
How do you write short texts in English?
How do you practice your reading and listening skills?
How do you practice your speaking skills?
How do you develop your language learning skills and use related tools efficiently?
Course material
Study materials are provided by the teacher via the Learn platform.
Study forms and methods
• The course includes independent online studies on the Learn platform and it also has 12 scheduled online lessons. Participation in scheduled online lessons is mandatory.
• Studies are carried out on the Learn platform. Access to the platform opens on the starting day of the course. Scheduled online lessons are carried out once a week. In addition to having an internet connection, the students must also have a video and audio connection during online lessons.
• The assessed assignments are completed individually. The assignments must be submitted by the given deadlines.
RDI and work-related cooperation
The course does not have RDI nor work-related cooperation.
Timing of exams and assignments
Weekly assignments must be completed, and an online exam must be taken on the Learn platform at the end of the course. The end date of the course is presented in the course details. By this date, the student must submit all assignments and take the required online exam.
Student workload
• 1 ECTS credit equals 27 hours of work by the student. However, the actual amount of work depends on the skills of the individual student.
• In a 3-credit course, the student's total workload is approximately 81 hours.

Assessment methods and criteria
The student’s performance is assessed with reference to the learning objectives and assessment criteria of the course. The completion of the course requires the assignments and the online exam to be completed with a passing grade.
