Objective
You are able to write English texts in the workplace and self-reflectively develop yourself as a writer and language user.
Content
How do you compose texts using appropriate tools paying attention to the content and style requirements of each genre and/or text type?
How do you receive peer feedback and teacher’s feedback and develop yourself based on the feedback?
How do you give feedback to peers based on instructions?
Course material
Study material is provided by the teacher on the Learn platform.
Study forms and methods
• The course is carried out entirely by way of unscheduled online study.
• Studies are carried out on the Learn platform. Access to the platform opens on the starting day of the course.
• Progress is made by completing assignments individually.
• The assessed assignments are completed individually.
• The course consists of eight areas of workplace writing of which the student can choose five to complete.

Timing of exams and assignments
The student can do assignments at their own pace during the course. The end date of the course is presented in the course details. By this date, the student must submit all assignments. There is no exam in this course.
Student workload
• 1 ECTS credit equals 27 hours of work by the student.

The course consists of eight areas of workplace writing of which the student can choose five to complete (1 credit each):

• Business communication: inquiries and quotations
• Business communication: complaints

Assessment methods and criteria
The student’s performance is assessed with reference to the learning objectives and assessment criteria of the course. The completion of the course requires that all assignments in the areas the student has chosen are assessed with a passing grade.
