Objective

Knowledge and understanding of and proficiency in:
- basics of materials and their properties used in mechanical engineering in various working conditions and stresses
- general mechanical engineering materials and their specific characteristics

- steels, cast irons, aluminium alloys, other construction metals, metal compounds, coatings, corrosion prevention, ceramics, composites, engineering plastics and rubbers
