Objective

You can communicate in simple everyday situations at A1.1 European language level and are able to apply vocabulary and structures needed in these situations.

You know the basics of French pronunciation and writing.

You show your interest in French customs and culture.

You are able to use different tools for learning language.

Content

What vocabulary do you need in everyday communication situations?

What are the French phonology and orthography like?

How do you use basic structures in everyday communication situations?

Course material

Study materials (tailormade by Kivako-> Kivanet project) are provided by the teacher in class or via the Learn platform.

Study forms and methods

• The course is mainly carried out by way of unscheduled online study but it also has 11 scheduled online lessons. The scheduled online lessons entail work in groups require active participation. The teacher provides guidance during the course.
• Studies are carried out on the Learn platform. Access to the platform opens on the 19th of September at 12:00. Online practicing lessons the students must also have a video and audio connection during online lessons.
• Progress is made by completing assignments individually/in groups and taking an exam/exams which are announced later.
• The assessed assignments are completed individually/in groups/in pars. The assignments must be submitted by the given deadlines.
• Feedback is provided by different methods, in writing and/or orally. Also, peer feedback can be used.

RDI and work-related cooperation

In this course students are practicing client service situations, also in work life ones.

Timing of exams and assignments

The end date of the course is presented in the course details. By this date, the student must submit all assignments, take the required exams and meet all other conditions set for an approved course completion.

Exam: 16th of December 2025 (open in Learn at 8:00-23.59)

• 1 ECTS credits equals 27 hours of work by the student (altogether 81 hours)
