Objective

You familiarize yourself with the psychological mechanisms that affect physical activity, well-being and the performance of competitive athletes.
You deepen your knowledge of psychological theories related to physical activity and competitive sports, and you know how to apply them.
You can critically examine your own actions and ethical dilemmas in sports.
You deepen your skills in planning theory-based training programs while taking into account psychological factors.

Content

What significance does motivation have in physical activity, competitive athletes' performance and well-being?
How does stress affect athletes' performance in competitions?
How does self-regulation support physical activity and the development of competitive athletes?
How do psychosocial factors affect well-being in sports?
How do you detect and identify mental health challenges in sports?

Evaluation

Students can
a. find, study, produce and assess critically multidisciplinary data in their field of expertise.
d. be responsible for operations and develop them independently.
e. assess different strategic approaches and justify their use in terms of management and development.
