• Other material assigned during the course.
Yksilölliset oppimisväylät
The course includes two face-to-face sessions in Kotka campus, three online meetings and in addition, time-independent work in an online environment. Face-to-face sessions takes place on weekdays according to a pre-arranged timetable. The face-to-face days consists one workshop and one seminar day. Attendance at the seminar is compulsory and absence must be compensated.
• The course progresses according to the group´s common timetable. The course includes both individual and group tasks. Individual tasks and group tasks are returned according to a separate schedule.
• Teacher guidance is available in the context of face-to-face teaching and online according to a specific timetable.
• The course uses a variety of feedback methods such as written and oral feedback. Peer feedback will also be used.
• The course consists of three components which are assessed separately: The importance of culture in nursing 1 credit, Basics of vaccination 2 credits and Nurse appointment work and homecare nursing 1 credits.

• The course will be visited by representatives of working life.
• Presentations similar to simulations in environments that mimic working life will be done during the course.

• Each component has its own exam, of which there are three in total.
• There is two online exams and one exam in the university exam room.
• The course includes tasks according to a separate schedule.
• The course ends at the indicated time, by which the student has returned the required tasks, passed the exams and met the other requirements for successful completion.

• 1 credit corresponds to about 27 hours of student work. However, the workload depends on your study skills and previous knowledge.
• In a 5 credit course, the student´s workload is about 135 hours.

• Successful completion of the course requires completion of tasks and exams with a grade of at least 1 or pass. The final grade of the course consists 50 % of the grade for the group task and 50 % of the grade for the homecare nursing exam.
• Preclinical training 1 credit: active participating to the preclinical training day, 100 % presence is required.
