Implementation and documentation of a fashion collection designLaajuus (10 cr)

Objective

- You will be able to design a suit for a specific historical period and/or piggyback your knowledge in fashion costume design.
- You will be able to choose the materials and, if necessary, modify them, and make patterns and manufacture epoch costume or fashion suit to the selected specific purpose and a specific target group.


In styling of a person
- you will learn how to design and implement individual solutions for an individual person
- you exercise to seek the idea from cultures, cultural history and trends
- you learn to take account the make-up as a complement to the whole
- you learn to do basic makeups and makeups for the show, which complement the stylings of outfits
- you know how to make easy hairstyles for shoots and fashion shows
- you know how to apply chromatics and designing rules to a styling of a person


In design of the shooting
• you will learn the basics how to analyse images
• you will learn how to analyze the image in communicative purpose (eg. The fashion image, product image, editorial-image, mood image, etc.). This is the basis to design the plan for shooting situation
• you learn to manage the design of the shooting process, budgeting and construction of the schedule
• you will learn how to produce a shooting process from idea to realization (shooting location, models, materials, appurtenances, etc.).

Garment manufacturing 5 cr, make-up 2 cr, hairstyle 1 cr, shooting design 2 cr (fashion and editorial picture)

• How you're looking for ideas from different cultures, cultural history and trends?

• What kind of mace-up you complement the stylings of outfits?
• What kind of make-up you will carry out to your designed outfit?

In design of the shooting
- How do you implement the actual shooting situation exploiting on Photography and Image Processing course learned know-how ?
