Objective
After successfully completing the study unit, the student is able to:
- observe constructed spaces as places for living
- understand the basics of residential design
- analyze the space and the demand for functionality
- understand the series of spaces as a whole and the relations between them
- scale the functional needs of living
- 2D and 3D sketching
- communicate through primal architectural drawings
- make 3D illustrations and use CAD-program
Content
During the study unit students carry out one main assignment and smaller tasks.
Learning in the study unit is based on student activity and working.
In addition to the studying of design, the primal ways to make architectural drawings and drawing symbols will be learned.
At the same time as this course there is a professional CAD study unit which provides the necessary CAD skills for architectural presentations.
One of the course activities is an excursion into a residential built-in furniture company.
Evaluation
Common interim critiques and tutorials are held during the study unit.
