- basic theory of fluid dynamics
- operation of pneumatic equipment
- operation of hydraulic equipment
- flow diagrams
- maintenance of pneumatic and hydraulic applications and work safety

Content

- basic theory of fluid power
- hydraulic components: pumps, motors, actuators, valves, piping, tanks, filters, controllers
- applications of mobile and factory hydraulics on ships, power-packs
- pneumatic components: compressors, motors and actuators, piping, valves, controllers
- quality, filtration and drying of pressurized air
- pneumatic applications on ships
- maintenance of equipment
- work and environmental safety

- Thermodynamics and heat transfer engineering
- Approved training during studies

Accomplishment methods

Students can:
- use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations
- choose appropriate models, methods, software and techniques according to the purpose and justify these choices
- apply critically the ethical principles of the professional field in different situations
