Objective

Having completed the study unit, the student: can meet patients as a nurse can make the correct working diagnosis on the basis of an interview and examinations, and on that basis select the right care path understands the significance of a safe and ethical way of working has mastered the holistic care of the patient and can act logically has mastered the medicines and devices used at the advanced level can give written and verbal information has  mastered the manual skills and asepsis demanded at an advanced level understands the significance of co-operation with different authorities and knows the possibilities offered by VIRVE ( the national authority network) knows the principles of leadership in emergency care situations and can act accordingly is prepared to make patient classifications in multi-patient situations is prepared to lead the medical rescue work in co-operation with authorities

target-focused working following the mentor's working hours learning and reflection diary OBS! Approved basic level theory studies are a prerequisite of this study unit. The studies cannot be carried out at the previous or present work place.
