Objective

You can work professionally in different physiotherapy contexts with individuals and groups.
You apply evidence-based physiotherapy methods both in assessment and in therapy situations critically and with a developing approach.
You can solve problems in a dialogue and expertly in interaction with multi-professional teams.
You can assess your own professional knowhow critically, promoting your own professional practice.
You can evaluate the quality and effectiveness of physiotherapy.
You can critically evaluate and develop your own skills and actions.

Content

How do you evaluate and make conclusions in different problem-solving situations based on clinical reasoning and differential diagnostics in physiotherapy?
How do you support the functioning of clients advising them to make use of assistive devices, technological solutions and possibilities in their environment?
How do you motivate your clients to promote their health and functioning with empowering means?
How do you use the perspectives of your professional field to develop the practices in social and health care?
How do you evaluate your development expertise in relation to your goals?

Qualifications

The studies of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd academic years and Clinical practice training IV are successfully completed.

Materials

Study and career planning 5 ECTS credits
Bachelor's thesis: reporting, evaluation and presentation, 5 ECTS credits

Evaluation

Students can
a. use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations.
b. evaluate information sources critically.
c. work as team members in working life expert duties and identify and describe the problems of the professional field.
d. evaluate operations in client, user and target group situations.
e. choose appropriate models, methods, software and techniques according to the purpose and justify these choices.
f. promote teams’ goal-oriented operation.
g. apply critically the ethical principles of the professional field in different situations.
