Objective
You are able to manufacture different types of offloadings.
You can choose suitable materials for offloadings.
You know how to make a silicon orthosis.
You practise the different methods of nail treatment.
You are able to guide the customer about the correct use of offloadings and silicon orthoses.
Content
How do you make/manufacture different types of offloadings?
On what basis do you choose the appropriate offloading materials?
How do you make different silicon orthoses (orthotic devices)?
How do you implement the various methods when treating ingrown toe nails?
How do you instruct the customer about the use of offloadings and silicon orthoses?
Training is implemented in the podiatric clinic at the school.
Evaluation
Assessment of Practical training: Podiatry IV: Pass / Fail / Needs to be complemented
Self-evaluation and teacher's/supervisor's evaluation.
Students can
