Objective
You know neurological diseases and how they effect to feet and movment. You are familiar with methods and podiatric clinical practices in the care of foot ulcers. You are able to describe the processes for acquiring special footwear, insoles and orthesis and shoes for wound care (therapeutic footwear) and for off-loading. You are able to guide the factors that promote the functional ability and recovery of a patient with prosthesis and total contact cast and give exercises .
Content
Neurology 1 cr: Stoke, Parkinson´s disease, CP, epilepsy in podiatric poin of view. Dermatology 0,5 cr: Examination of skin and treatment, psoriasis, athopic skin, skin allergies, other common skin diseases. The foot in diabetes Diabetic foot ulceration, care and off-loading Special footwear, therapeutic footwear, ortosis Walking devices (total contact cast) and prosthesis
