Objective

- To familiarise oneself with one’s own professional environment and the work of a nurse
- To understand the basic structure, functions and regulation and underlying factors of the body’s organ system from the perspective of the patient’s basic care
- To gain practice in identifying and taking into account the client’s experiences and needs in their health care in basic care
- To gain practice in responding to the need for care by using nursing methods and to gain practice in structural documentation
- To understand one’s professional responsibility and to be able to ensure and promote patient safetyTo be able to assess one’s learning and development

Content

Practical and simulation training, study visits (4ECTS) to different learning environments
Clinical training (6ECTS) is conducted on the health care centre’s ward or in a similar learning environment.
The training includes introductory lessons (2) before the internship, orientation days (3) before the actual internship, and reflective lessons (2) after the internship.
Complying with the training environment’s safety and security requirements
Formulating learning objectives (CV, learning diary, portfolio) before the beginning of the internship
Planning one’s own work shifts according to the supervisor’s shifts
Acquainting oneself with one’s own professional operating environment
Practicing encountering, guiding and treating the client according to the objectives
Filling in the electronic medication passportSelf-evaluation
