Biochemistry, Cellbiology and HistologyLaajuus (5 cr)

Objective

Students understand the biochemistry and the research objectives of body functioning. Students deepen their knowledge of mathematics and natural sciences and is able to adapt that  knowledge to their own fields. The course in cell biology and histology improves students' knowledge of anatomy. Students apply the knowledge to their own fields.  

Content

  Students become familiar with the structure of material, the foundations of biochemistry and the biochemistry of the organism. They learn the most common clinical and chemical laboratory examinations and understand their biochemical and physiological background and their clinical purpose of use. The structure and the functioning of the cells and tissues. Students can adopt knowledge of natural science and follow the development in their own fields.
