Completing approved on-board training (STCW II/4) for rating forming part of a navigational watch.

Knowledge and understanding of and proficiency in:
- hand steering and lookout
- safe execution of common maintenance, repair and deck tasks on a ship
- correct and safe use of machines and tools

Supervised on-board training in competences specified in STCW A-II/4 documented in a training record book.
