Objective
Learning the practical skills and completing approved simulator training based on prior STCW code table A-II/1 studies.
Content
Supervised simulator exercises based on prior studies in the following subject areas:
- terrestrial and radar navigation techniques
- basic ship manoeuvring and handling in deep waters
- basic bridge watchkeeping in open sea and coastal waters
- planning and execution of a ship's turning in coastal fairways
- planning and conducting a passage in coastal and pilotage waters
- navigation in coastal and archipelago fairways
- navigation in traffic separation schemes

Prior studies:
- Terrestrial navigation 1
- Navigation equipment
- Route planning and meteorology
- Bridge watchkeeping
- Ship handling 1
- Introduction to simulator training

Further information
Participation in all lessons and training sessions is obligatory.
