Objective
Learning the practical skills and completing approved simulator training based on prior STCW table A-II/1 studies.
Content
Supervised simulator exercises based on prior studies in the following subject areas:
- ship manoeuvring and handling in shallow waters
- bridge watchkeeping in coastal VTS areas and responding to equipment failures
- planning and conducting a passage in archipelago waters
- navigation in restricted fairways at night and in low visibility
- responding to emergencies and distress signals
- competence test
Qualifications
Prior studies:
- Emergency procedures 1
- ARPA (A-II/1, A-II/2)
- Simulator training at the operational level 1
Materials
- ECDIS (A-II/1, A-II/2)
- Approved training during studies
Further information
Participation in all lessons and training sessions is obligatory.
