Objective

• You understand that professional interaction is a key aspect of a paramedic's professional competence
• You understand that the patient’s human dignity, equality and self-determination are crucial in the provision of good emergency care
• Without compromising patient safety, you are able to identify and anticipate problems related to vital body functions that require emergency care or are life threatening, or otherwise require immediate care
• You are familiar with the safe and appropriate use of examination and treatment equipment
• You are able to use data transfer and communication equipment designed to be used outside the hospital
• Based on care instructions, you are able to assess the patient's status and necessity for further treatment and perform proper treatment during transportation, or direct the patient to seek for proper treatment if he/she is not transported
• You are aware of the responsibilities and obligations of the involved authorities
