Objective

After this study unit, a student is able to present the main components used in local area networks and describe their activities identify the main cabling and local area network standards explain the layers of the OSI model, and describe the activities of the main protocols used in networks present the communication networks of production plants, and design basic netwoks present the control system netwoks of production plants, and design basic control system networks and fieldbus applications.

Ethernet-based networks and communication components Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), such as MetsoDNA and Siemens S7 Connecting sensors, transmitters and actuators by using input and output interfaces, and fieldbuses Main communication protocols, TCP IP Fieldbus protocols, Profibus
