Objective

You identify the most important domestic tree species macroscopically. You know the microscopic and chemical structure and the physical properties of the wood. You are able to identify the defects of the wood and you know their significance in woodprocessing industry. You can analyse the connection between the raw material and end products in the different stages of refining processes of the forest industry.

What arethe features of the microscopic and macroscopic structure the wood material ? What kind of impacts can the physical properties and defectscause in woodprocessing industry? What are the most important processing methods in thewoodprocessing, paper and cardboard industry?
