Objective

You identify the most important domestic tree species macroscopically. You know the microscopic and chemical structure and the physical properties of the wood. You are able to identify the defects of the wood and you know their significance in woodworking industry. You can analyse the connection between raw material and end product in different stages of refining processes of forest industry.

What kind of microscopic and macroscopic structure the wood material has? What kind of effects the physical properties and defects have in woodworking industry? What are the most important production methods in wood product industry and in paper and cardboard industry?
