Objective

You recognize different methods of civic activities in NGOs, self-help groups, peer groups and by means of sociocultural animation. You know how to put different methods into practice, support social relations and add people´s way of influencing in their local environment. You familiarise yourself with the realizations of community work in Finland and global level.

Content

How can you structure the community work in theory? How can you apply the principles of community work on different operational environments? How sociocultural animation works in action? How can you take advantage of the methods of global community work in Finland?

Qualifications

Attending the course requires the prior completion of the course Communality and influence on different environments.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

c) You can work as a member of a team in the actions of community work and know how to describe the problems of societies. d) You evaluate your action in target group situations. e) You know what the suitable methods are in the actions of community work. f) You promote the target-oriented action in your group. g) You are able to apply the ethical principles of community work critically.
