Objective

You are capable of analysing intoxicant addiction from different viewpoints.  You have abilities to identify and encounter addicted people.  You are able to create and maintain a confidential relationship with a client.  You know different work methods from preventive to rehabilitative work.  You are capable of working according to the ethical principles and knowledge base of intoxicant work. 

Content

What are the main values, principles, laws and rules of intoxicant work? How do you build a confidential client relationship with intoxicant abusers? How do you build a relationship of professional interaction with intoxicant abusers? What is the role of guidance and counselling in supporting an individual’s ability to function?

Knowledge base and work orientation module.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

a)  use professional vocabulary systematically. c)    identify interrelated tasks. d)   work together with customers, users and target groups. e)   use the key methods of the professional field. g)   justify their actions according to the ethical principles of the professional field.
