Objective

You get competences to observe and evaluate the needs of an individual child and child groups and support and guide them in different developmental phases. You are able to obseve the needs for special support. You have knowledge of the basic principles of early childhood education. You can plan, actualise and evaluate activities that are goal-oriented and pedagogically developmental. You are familiar with educational partnership as your work orientation. You can carry out the principles of early support in practice. 

Content

How do you realize child observation in early childhood pedagogy? What kind of methods are those promoting child’s participation in early childhood education? What kind of pedagogical ideas are presented in alternative pedagogies? What is the meaning of partnership and early support? How is multiprofessional work and development of work actualized in early childhood education?

use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations. evaluate information sources critically. work as team members in working life expert duties and identify and describe the problems of the professional field. evaluate operations in customer, user and target group situations. choose appropriate models, methods, software and techniques according to the purpose and justify these choices. promote teams’  goal-oriented operation.
