Creative Methods and Occupational WelfareLaajuus (5 cr)

Objective

You are able to use functional methods in client work. You know the possibilities of creativity and self-expression in rehabilitation process. You know the methods supporting participation and activity of different client groups. You show your familiarity with for example visual arts, sport, music, drama, literature, reminiscing work and working with emotions among different clients. You identify the main stress factors of client work and you know ways to prevent them.  

Content

How do you use creative and functional methods in rehabilitative client work? What is the meaning of participation and experimenting in rehabilitative process? What kind of stress factors you may face in client work? How do you promote and maintain welfare at work? 

Qualifications

Context of rehabilitation and Counseling of rehabilitation in client work courses, compulsory professional studies apart from Team leadership and developmental work and Production of social services and service innovations courses.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

a ) use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations. e) choose appropriate models, methods and techniques according to the purpose and justify these choices. f) promote teams’  goal-oriented operation.
