Surgical and Perioperative NursingLaajuus (5 cr)

Objective

You are able to use the nursing interventions in surgical pre – and post surgery.  You know how to do medication therapy, pain management and wound care treatments. You can observe, evaluate and react the situation of surgical patient. You know how to guide the surgical patient, and you know how to rehabilitative health care criteria.  You know how to identify patient safety issues in perioperative nursing.  You know how to acquire knowledge, consider and evaluate it critically.  

Content

How do you accomplish the surgical patient`s nursing and surgeon in guiding the most common surgical diseases? How do you accomplish the surgical patient`s medication therapy, pain management and wound care treatment? How do you to accomplish the patient`s blood transfusion? How do you to attention patient`s needs and safety and asepsis in operative care nursing?   Surgical Nursing 4 ECTS Perioperative Nursing 1 ECTS

Qualifications

Basics of nursing, Anatomy and physiology, medication (passed), Pathology, Microbiology and Infectious diseases (participation).
