Objective

The Bachelor’s thesis is part of a module called Researching and Developing Work Practices, worth 30 cr. These studies form the entirety of studies in the fifth semester, and it is intended that students concentrate on the studies of this module and do not take any other courses during the fifth semester. The Bachelor’s thesis is a research and development project which aims at developing the people and the region. The Bachelor’s thesis course is divided into three parts. They are: Conceptual Basics 5cr First Draft of the Report 5cr Final Report, Oral Presentation and Maturity Test 5cr Objectives of the Thesis Students understand what the research process is, and what it consists of. Students know the different stages of project type work from earlier courses and can utilize that knowledge during this course. Students are able design and carry out R&D projects for companies or other type of organizations with justified research approaches. Students learn to report the results orally and in writing, give constructive feedback to other students and profit from the feedback received. Students can search for, and critically read and interpret information. Students can, if needed, outsource R&D projects during their professional careers.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Students are given a grade (1-5) for all the parts of this course. In addition to that, students receive oral and/or written feedback from their own supervisor, method and language teacher and from other students.
