Drawing and PaintingLaajuus (3 cr)

Objective

The student has a good understanding of basic techniques, equipment, and materials of drawing, painting, and other methods. They observe the visual environment and are able to see it in its entirety and details. The student appreciates the meaning of composition and colour. They are able to take part in discussions and  interpret pictures through their experience. The student understands that the meaning of the pictorial expression is the basis of their professional skills.  

Content

The students are exposed to techniques, equipment, and materials through themed assignments. The students participate in discussions and feedback sessions. The course includes exhibitions, and extra material from the literature and the internet.
