Osaamistavoitteet

The student learns the basics of clothing and fashion design. He/she learns to see silhouettes, shapes, volumes, measures and materials in garments as well as work methods as an aesthetic and suitable entirety.Based on this knowledge and creativity the student learns to design clothing.The student gets to know various materials and structures used in clothing and how to combine different fabrics.Approved assignment permits the student to work independently in the fashion studio.         After the successful competion of the course, students will be able to:Bring ideas and design garments based on the given assignment and also to estimate the manufacturability of the designProduce mood boards, sketches and presentation picturesAnalyze different types of materials in relation with given assigmentMake patterns through modeling and using a dummy figureChoose and use varios methods, equipments, materials and accessories for different purposes
