Osaamistavoitteet

You know the atomic structure and chemical bonds. You are able to describe and identify the common inorganic compounds as well as groups and structures of organic compounds.You can describe the behavior of the substances, properties of substances and different types of chemical reactions. You can write basic chemical equations, solve problems dealing with solutions, gases, pH, and amounts of substances needed for reactions You can apply the theoretical knowledge in practise and write a report on experiments. You master the basic principles of laboratory work.

Why are the properties, appearances and reactions of substances different? What is produced in a reaction? What mass of reactant is needed? What is the right solvent needed? Can you enhance reactions? What kind of chemical reactions take place in applications?
