Environmental Health (5op)

Osaamistavoitteet

You will be familiar with different global and national environmental health problems in society and you know the role of legislation in minimizing environmental risks. Microbial action and interactions between toxic substances, natural and anthropogenic, will be familiar too. You get the basic knowledge of epidemiology and toxicology and climate change impacts on environment, human and other organisms

  What is role of toxic and other adverse biological and chemical effects of trace metals in society and environment? How xenobiotics and microorganisms are involved in global and national health problems? What kind of connections are between climate change and environmental impacts on human and animal health and especially infectious diseases? Interactions of organic pollutants’ between water, soil, food web and animal health? How municipal services and general health control are organized?
