Objective
To know how to perform one’s tasks in accordance with the care industry’s values and ethical principles
To be able to act in accordance with the legislation and ethical guidelines regarding the exercise of a profession, and to be able to assess how they are implemented in nursing
To be able to respect human rights in one’s work
To be able to encounter the client as an active actor in their own care
To be able to engage in professional and care-related interaction with clients of different ages and their families
To be able to identify and assess the population’s state of health and well-being as well as the related factors, on both an individual and a community level
To learn how to utilise existing information (e.g. registers and statistics) regarding the population’s health challenges, both on an individual and a community level
To be able to identify factors contributing to national health problems
To be able to prevent risk factors that decrease health and the ability to function and work and lead to functional deficiencies, and to be able to address these risks at an early stage
