Objective
Safety in Nursing (General Part) and Basics of Pharmacotherapy (3 cr). General Part Having successfully completed the study unit, students: understand what safety competence means in nursing are able to ensure patient safety are able to promote patient safety, systematically recognizing risk situations and areas are able to report dangerous events are able to act following good data security understand the importance of focus and continuous education Basics of Pharmacotherapy: know the decrees and regulations concerning medical care are aware of the nurse's responsibilities in handling medicines and responsibilities in the patient's/client's pharmacotherapy understand the different forms of medicines and their modes of administration so that they are able to provide the medical treatment of clients/patients of different ages know the modes of action of most common medicines, the desired as well as ill, side, and synergistic effects of medicines are able to safely implement the pharmacotherapy ordered by the doctor and are able to monitor its efficacy have mastered the mathematics needed in pharmacotherapy are able to direct the client to engage with pharmacotherapy and safe medical treatment recognize the risks of pharmacotherapy and use information gathered from medication deviation to develop the process of pharmacotherapy

General Part: safety policy safety management responsibility, regulations work safety device safety care safety safety of pharmacotherapy data security drawbacks, damage, and making reports threatening situations as experienced by nurses dealing with an aggressive/violent patient/client/relative Basics of Pharmacotherapy: the legislation and regulations concerning medical treatment different forms of medicines, modes of administration, dosage, and the handling of medicines the effects of medicines on the human body ill, side, and synergistic effects of medicines calculation of medicine doseage directing the client to engage with pharmacotherapy and safe medical treatment prevention of deviations of pharmacotherapy
