Objective

The student
familiarizes with the operational environment of emergerncy care and an emergency nurse's assignments
learns new skills in evidence-based emergency care
understands the bases of ethical working, professional responsibility, and is capable of securing and promoting patient safetyis able to evaluate own competence and progress

Content

Laboratory and simulation practice, study visits (4cr) in various learning environments.
Clinical practice (6cr) takes place on an ambulance.
The practice includes 2 familiarization lessons before the practice and 2 reflection lessons after the practice:
-following the health and safety requirements
- set by the practice environment drawing out own learning objectives (CV/learning diary/portfolio) before the practice
- making own shift lists on the basis of the close supevisor's shifs
- familiarization with own professional operational environment
- improving competence in activities demanded by emergency care (basic level emergency care
- self-assessment
