Objective

You understand the meaning of internationality and cultural background in the professional field. You know how to utilize different cultural characteristics and different methods in multicultural interaction. You know how to work in a multicultural society.

Content

Where is internationality needed in youth work and civic activities? Why is it important to be familiar with your own cultural background? What do community educators have to know about different cultures and multicultural work? How can you use international youth programmes and the methods of global education?

Evaluation

a) You are able to use vocabulary related to internationality, cultures and multiculturalism systematically.
b) You are able to look for information on cultural encounter and the methods of global education.
c) You are able to identify interrelated tasks of internationality in the field of a community educator.
d) You are able to work together with people from different cultures.
e) You are able to use the key methods of global education and programmes.
g) You are able to justify your action according to the ethical principles of your field.
