Objective

You understand the opportunities that the finite element method (FEM) offers for solving different kinds of physical problems. You know the theoretical basics and limitations of this method and you can use FEM programs for designing structures.

How is a proper calculation model created? How can you use the FEM for solving statics problems? How is the FEM used to solve dynamic problems of the structures? How is the FEM used to solve local buckling problems? How can you evaluate the results and how can you generate a proper calculation document?
