You understand the policies, challenges and possibilities of the information society and the digital working environment.
You know how to use ICT applications in your studies and future work in social and health care tasks individually and in teamwork.
You possess appropriate ICT skills.
You understand the importance of information security and know how to improve information security
You know the basic ICT services and guidance systems in your field of study.
You are familiar with the development and chances of wellbeing technology in your field of study.

Content

What is digital working environment and how does it function in organizations?
What and how ICT applications are used in social and health care studies and work?
What are the possibilities and challenges of digitalization and wellbeing technology in social and health care field?
What is information security and how to act securely in studies and work?
What are the information systems in your field and what is their role in the operation of organizations?
How do you implement documentation according to the classifications and recommendations of social and health care field?

Evaluation

a. use professional ICT vocabulary systematically
b. look for information in the key information sources of the field.
c. identify interrelated ICT tasks
e. use the key methods, software and techniques of the information and communication technology.

Qualifications

Attending the course requires that learning outcomes of the first year studies have been reached.
