Objective

The objective of the course is to provide the participiants with the ability to work in the field of Operations Planning and Control.  

Content

The main areas are: - Production and Operations Management principles:  volume-variety and typology of operations; make for stock or make to order; productivity, measurement and key performance indicators - Inventory control:  EOQ, Pereto-analysis, replenishment systems - How to make a Production Plan:  starting with sales, through MRP and CRP ending up with delivery -  Improvement of operations:  JIT, LEAN  

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Grading is based on examinations and homework.  The grades are :  1 to 5.
