Objective
After completing the course, the student: has developed the language skills needed in complex communicational situations in working life can read specialised articles of their own field and express their opinions on them spontaneously can write detailed texts using professional terminology in which they justify desicions made in design assignments use English at skill level B1-B2 (European Framework)
Content
an introduction to the professional terminology used in the field of media different topics are approached through articles and extracts taken from books, magazines, and web publications. The topics are specific to the specialisation option and, depending on the specialisation, may include advertising, animation, colour, computer graphics, customer relations, illustration, interactive media, lighting, marketing, package design, photography, post-production, sci-fi and dogma films, script-writing, typefaces, typography, and websites the topics are processed through oral and written assignments of all the topics discussed during the course, the students choose one that they will examine more closely for their individual oral presentations
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The assessment scale: excellent (5), good (4-3), satisfactory (2-1) and fail (0). The grade is determined by exam, learning assignments, and the student's oral presentation.
