Objective

After completing this course, the student is able to interpret the most important shipping documents written in English, identify typical features and fixed expressions in such documents, actively use key terms and expressions and understand the responsibilities of various parties to a contract.

Content

The focus of the course is on bills of lading and charter parties. Other documents are briefly introduced.

Assessment is based on an examination.
